Wagner Tuning EVO 1 Intake Manifold with Integrated Intercooler for BMW B58.1 – 128% More Core Volume
The Wagner Tuning EVO 1 intake manifold with integrated intercooler was specifically developed for BMW models equipped with the 3.0-liter B58.1 turbo engine. The system combines a significantly larger intercooler core with optimized internal airflow and additional expansion options for high-performance applications.
Compared to the OEM component, the Wagner Tuning EVO 1 intake manifold provides 128% more external core volume, helping to reduce intake air temperatures by up to 20°C while also reducing back pressure.
Product Advantages:
At the heart of the system is a newly developed high-performance intercooler core with significantly increased external volume. The larger core provides additional thermal capacity and helps maintain lower intake air temperatures, especially under demanding driving conditions and on performance-enhanced vehicles.
The CNC-machined aluminum end tanks were optimized using CFD simulations to improve internal airflow and reduce restriction. Compared to the OEM system, back pressure is reduced by 35%, helping to improve overall system efficiency and reduce the load on the turbocharger.
The intake manifold is also prepared for additional fuel injection. A matching Wagner Tuning fuel rail is optionally available: View compatible fuel rail here.
For additional performance applications, the intake manifold features three 1/8 NPT ports as well as six prepared NOS / WMI ports. These provide additional flexibility for sensors, water-methanol injection or other performance-related upgrades.
Installation is carried out as a direct plug-and-play upgrade without complex modifications. Another important service advantage is that the oil filter can still be replaced without removing the intake manifold.
